Join the EMS Team, guest artists, and SA Scientists for a hot meal, sit back and experience a mesmerising dive with cuttlefish from the comfort of your chair via VR goggles, and learn more about the rock star lifestyle of the giant cuttlefish. Marvel at Cephalopod photographs, sculptures, and drawings. There will be activities for children (and adults can get involved) including a craft table, a colouring in competition, and a virtual reality marine life experience.
Location: Roopena Football and Sporting Club - 19-33 Fisk St, Whyalla.
Friday 30th June 6-9 pm
6.00 pm - Great Southern Reef VR experience & colouring in competition for kids in the craft corner
6.30 pm – Meals served.
7.00 pm - Acknowledgement to Country.
7.15 pm - Introductions
7.20 pm - Cephalopods - Octopus, squids, and Cuttlefishes – Marine Ecologist Janine Baker.
7.55 pm - Protecting the Unique South – Dr. Shelley Paull Marine Coordinator, National Parks, and Wildlife Service South Australia.
8.15 pm - Cuttlefish research discoveries along Cuttlefish Coast. Dr Ben Stobart, PIRSA
8.45 pm - Q&A panel with artists and scientists.

Meals can be ordered between 6 -7 pm. There will be a range of meals available including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

What concessions are available?
A concession is defined as a Senior or Australian Health Care Card Holder who holds an Australian Government issued Senior Card, Pension Card, Repatriation Health Card or Veterans Affair card. For an overseas senior, Proof of Age Card or Passport showing age as 65+ years old.
A student is defined as any primary or secondary school student or full-time tertiary and post-secondary student who has an approved photo ID.
