Join our expert snorkel guides, accredited by national standards, and the knowledgeable staff from the National Parks and Wildlife Service for an unforgettable snorkelling adventure at Stony Point in the Upper Spencer Gulf Marine Park, now proudly part of the national heritage list. Our tours, as featured on SA Weekender and Totally Wild, offer an immersive experience like no other. Each tour lasts up to 90 minutes, including suiting up in cozy wetsuits, safety briefings, snorkelling, and debriefings. Suitable for both adults and children (5 years and above), with depths ranging from 1-5m, and small groups led by accredited guides, ensuring a safe, personalised and educational experience.

We provide all necessary gear, including wetsuits, masks, snorkels, fins, and accredited guides. Wetsuits are available in various sizes, from adult 4XL to child 4, and are sanitised between uses. Participants are welcome to bring their own gear if preferred.

Our tours are inclusive, welcoming children and individuals of all abilities, with provisions for extra assistance upon request. Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete necessary forms and gear up. Parking, facilities, and shaded picnic areas are available on-site.

1. Are snorkel tours suitable for all ages?

   - Yes, EMS snorkel tours welcome participants of all ages, from 5 years and up. Children under 15 years must be accompanied and supervised in water by a paying adult, with specific ratios for different age groups.


2. What concessions are available?

   - Concessions are available for seniors and students, with specific eligibility criteria outlined.


3. Is warm wetsuit and snorkel gear provided?

   - Yes, the ticket price includes toasty warm wetsuits with vest and hood, gloves, boots, and snorkel gear.


4. Will I be cold?

   - We provide appropriate thickness wetsuits to ensure your comfort and warmth throughout the tour.


5. Do I have to wear a wetsuit?

   - Wearing a wetsuit is mandatory during EMS snorkel tours for buoyancy, protection, and comfort.


6. Can I bring my own wetsuit and snorkel gear?

   - Yes, participants are encouraged to bring their own gear, ensuring it meets necessary specifications.


7. What facilities are available at Stony Point?

   - Basic facilities such as toilets, change rooms, and sheltered picnic areas are provided. Additional amenities may be available during CuttleFest events.


8. How deep and how far do we go?

   - Tour depths and distances vary based on experience levels, with beginner and intermediate options available.


9. Can non-swimmers join the tour?

   - Non-swimmers are advised to attend EMS Snorkel 101 classes for basic snorkelling training. Boogie boards are also available for added support.


10. How is the tour conducted?

    - The tour involves check-in, gear selection, safety briefing, guided snorkelling, and post-snorkel procedures.


11. What happens in case of event cancellation due to weather?

    - In the event of cancellation, please refer to the updated Cancellation and Refund Policy provided below.


12. Do you run tours earlier if cuttlefish arrive early?

    - EMS tours are scheduled within specific dates. Any changes will be communicated through our booking page.


13. Do you offer tours outside of scheduled dates?

    - EMS tours are limited to scheduled dates. Alternative arrangements can be made through Whyalla Dive Services and Diving Adelaide.


14. Can I purchase additional tickets if the event is sold out?

    - Additional tickets may be available depending on participant numbers and guide availability.


15. How is ticket income utilised?

    - Ticket proceeds support EMS's sustainability and community initiatives, including volunteer training, equipment provision, and accessibility efforts.

Cancellation Policy:

Our standard cancellation policy ensures fairness and clarity for all customers:

- No shows and cancellations within 24 hours prior to the event will not be eligible for a refund.

- Cancellations made from the time of booking up to 72 hours prior to departure will incur a 20% cancellation fee.

- Bookings made through third-party agents or online travel agents may be subject to different cancellation and refund policies. EMS holds no liability for losses incurred through bookings made via third-party agents.


Pricing:

- All prices, products, and offers are in AUD and include GST. We reserve the right to correct any printing errors.

- Tour prices vary due to different arrangements and funding received from partners and funding bodies.


Refund Policy:

In the rare event of a cancellation on our part:

- We will notify customers as soon as possible, aiming to inform you at least 24 hours prior to the event. Please ensure you provide a mobile number at the time of booking for communication purposes.

- EMS reserves the right to cancel any event due to extreme weather conditions or shark sightings at the event site within 24 hours of the event. Guests affected by such cancellations will be offered a FULL refund or the option to reschedule their event.

- Refunds will be processed via the same method as the original payment. For bookings made through third-party agents, refunds will be issued to the third party rather than directly to the guest. Any bank fees or charges incurred during the refund process are the responsibility of the guest.

- Please keep us informed of any changes to your contact information, as we may need to communicate important information leading up to the event. EMS will not be held responsible for missed communications if contact details are not up to date.

- Our refund policy does not cover travel or accommodation booked by the passenger. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to safeguard against unforeseen cancellations.
