Join EMS - Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries staff and volunteers, guest artists, and SA Scientists for a meal and learn more about the rock star lifestyles of cephalopods. Experience a mesmerizing dive with cuttlefish from the comfort of your chair via virtual reality goggles, watch guest artist Wildcard Sue draw a cuttlefish throughout the evening. Marvel at cuttlefish paintings, images, sculptures, and drawings. There will be activities for children including colouring in competition with prizes and VR experiences.

Saturday 10th July 6-9 pm

6.00 pm -          There will be a Cuttlefish – VR360 experience. & artist Wildcard Sue will draw a giant cuttlefish on the big screen. 

7.00 pm -          Bangarla Welcome to Country. Bangarla elder TBC

7.05 pm -          Introductions – artists, artwork, and scientists 

7.10 pm -          Cephalopod artworks

7.30 pm -          SA marine environments and how Marine Parks contribute to their protection. Dr Shelley Paull.

7.40 pm -          Cephalopods and marine art – Ecologist and Educator Janine Baker

8.10 pm -          Rockstar’s of the Ocean - the Giant Cuttlefish – Prof. Bronwyn Gillanders

8.40 pm -          Q&A panel with artists and scientists

8.50pm -          Close

FAQ

What concessions are available?

A concession is defined as a Senior or Australian Health Care Card Holder who holds an Australian Government issued Senior Card, Pension Card, Repatriation Health Card or Veterans Affair card. For an overseas senior, Proof of Age Card or Passport showing age as 65+ years old.

A student is defined as any primary or secondary school student or full-time tertiary and post-secondary students who have an approved photo ID.
